There are now maps there, Joker and Bundar put-in, and a new one coming without the “Welcome to Alpine Ntnl Park” for Hinno. Just now installed one of our river maps at Big River bridge. Backed up Lisa Lee from LandCare and many volunteers including Alpine School in planting nearly 100 native trees.ħ.

We installed a big new covered sign there, with a native tree watering station and river map (also paid for by us), plus 3 awesome interpretive signs designed by Hayley Hollis and printed with help from Parks Vic ranger Shamis Law. Hinnomunjie take-out works: we paid about $14k for a second toilet block, and installed backup tp roll holders. We recieved several grants for other projects, all of which have been successfully concluded:Ħ. The huge dead tree that was there fell over, so is no longer a concern for students etc.ĥ. Broom removal from several locations, including “Sandy Beach” & “Lower Sandy Beach (just downstream from Faithful’s, now open for business), and the new camp just upstream from Faithful’s old hut (and the long gone flying fox). Anglers Rest and Joker campsite maintenanceģ.

  • We’ve had tons of “give-back” volunteer work done, including:Ģ.
  • Luckily the race in 2020 will not conflict, just like last year. It was decided to continue to just hold it on Grand Final weekend, despite what the Snowy Race date is.
  • We made about $10,000 on our last fundraiser in Sept., 2019, and had 100 volunteers on the day doing some awesome projects! We also had awesome music and lots of families, due to the long weekend.
  • Matt and crew is in the midst of a third round of willow removal via a NECMA grant for the Mitta, Cobungra, Middle Creek and Bundara rivers.
  • Once again, we’ve accomplished a ton of great stuff this year:
